How do we respect your privacy when handling personal data collected as part of the LIFE for Mauremys project?

The privacy policy explains what personal data we collect and process, for what purpose, on what legal basis, with whom and why we share it, protective measures we are taking, and what your rights are regarding access to personal data, correction, deletion, and your right to object.

Legal basis

Website of the Project Mauremys rivulata- conservation of the umbrella species of the Mediterranean wetlands in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, "LIFE for Mauremys" (G.A. 101071737) (hereinafter: LIFE for Mauremys) is important communication tool. Some of the services offered on our website require the processing of your personal data. We process your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). LIFE for Mauremys will handle your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation („Narodne novine “, broj 42/18), applying appropriate technical and security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, loss, or destruction. When you send us an inquiry through our website, via email or by other means, we collect your email address and personal information you have provided in the inquiry.

Online surveys and quizzes

We also collect your personal data on our website through surveys and quizzes that we occasionally publish for educational, promotional, or research purposes. Participation in surveys is solely at your discretion and choice. We may collect your personal data such as name, surname, home address, email address, phone number, or mobile number. Certain surveys and quizzes, especially if they are prize-related, may require you to enter personal data necessary for sending the prize package. We do not automatically collect data in online surveys and quizzes. You enter your personal data only if you wish to have the opportunity to win a prize.

Participant list

Your personal data can also be collected with participant list on various live events, like lectures and workshops.

We are not responsible for incorrectly entered data such as incorrect email addresses or misspelled names.

How do we use your data?
Your personal data may be collected for the purpose you are aware of, which is expressly stated and in accordance with the law. We use your data, for example, to manage the inquiry you have sent us, as evidence and record of your participation in our events, or to contact you regarding the delivery of a prize package. The received information is not permanently stored, and we do not reuse it for any other purpose other than that stated or beyond the scope of activities related to the LIFE for Mauremys project.

Your personal data is confidential and will not be published, disclosed, or shared with third parties; LIFE for Mauremys takes all reasonable measures to protect your data.
