Networking Meeting

On February 29, 2024, we participated in a networking meeting of Croatian beneficiaries of LIFE SAP projects - "Results and Effects of LIFE Projects in Croatia," organized by the National Contact Point for the LIFE Program.

New LIFE projects (LIFE Call 2021 and 2022) presented their planned project activities and the expected results as well as the environmental impacts of their projects. The topics were truly diverse, ranging from sustainable stockings, controlling invasive ornamental plants to the protection of Mediterranean sharks and rays.

LIFE projects that have been active for over a year, like ours, presented their initial results, and there were also participants who had completed several LIFE projects, such as the Association BIOM, whose representatives graciously shared their experiences. Our project coordinator presented our achievements since the beginning in October 2022 and what we plan until the project end in September 2026.

In the continuation of the meeting, the National Contact Point provided an overview of the possibilities of the LIFE TA-R call, aimed at co-financing the replication and dissemination of results from LIFE projects.

After a lunch break, which gave us the opportunity to informally socialize, the meeting continued with the exchange of experiences where we discussed implementation challenges - the problems we encountered and how we solved them.

In conclusion, all LIFE users agreed that the National Contact Point is excellent support at every stage of project implementation, and we look forward to future networking meetings with colleagues.
